Our journey through the world of breeding began in dogs. Our kennel, ”Bodeswell”, is permanently registered with the Canadian Kennel Club. We have owned, shown, bred and loved a number of different breeds over the more than two decades. Whippets and Chinese Cresteds had been our focus.
As a hobby, dog showing has been very rewarding for us. We have travelled extensively, met life long friends around the world, and had our lives enriched immeasurably by many special dogs. Over the years we have finished 56 Canadian Championships and 21 American Championships on 57 dogs; 29 of which were from our breeding program. We are particularly proud of our specialty success, having twice won the Chinese Crested Club of Canada Canadian National Specialty with home bred dogs, and many other specialty wins in Canada and the US.
When we moved to PEI, we tried to retire from showing and breeding dogs, but we missed it so much, we are back in our original breed, Whippets, the one that started it all. So, after getting our first whippet in 1997, we are happily back in the show ring and planning a beautiful litter for 2025.
